Clare Booth

I am honoured to have been appointed Chair of Cherry Willingham Primary School Local Governing Body.

I have previously served as a parent governor in a primary school for 4 years. For the last 7 years I have been a governor at The Priory Pembroke Academy where I worked with Senior Leadership Team member links in Teaching and Learning, Curriculum and Pupil Premium, culminating my term with Management and Strategy as the Chair of the LGB for the last 4 years. I have been involved through collaborative governance with Cherry Willingham Primary School for the last 2 years and have gained a valuable insight of how the school has evolved and developed into what it is today.

Through my work with awarding bodies, the learning journey is paramount, through enjoyment, exploration, quality or provision and a safe learning environment. These transferrable values are important to all of us on the Local Governing Body and are embraced daily by the school in its own ethos and values.

I look forward to our journey together!

Heather Ind

I am starting in my third year as a member of the Local Governing Body (LGB) and I look forward to working with the team. I have lived in Cherry Willingham since 2019 and I now have 2 children at this school, one in reception and one in year 3.
I was thrilled to hear that the school gained ‘good’ in their recent OFSTED rating, but it is more important to me to know that children are learning in a place where they feel safe and cared for.
Children are all so different and I think that education is about identifying that and nurturing a child to be the best version of themselves. I also think the voice of the parent/carer and child is essential in growing as a school.

As the governor linked to the safeguarding lead, I will work closely with the school to be able to offer assurances around the safeguarding of the students, to the rest of the governing body, and you as parents, staff or students.
I have worked in the NHS, specifically Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT) for a long time now and I was also a secondary school prior to this.

Sarah Dawson

I am privileged to be continuing as a member of the local governing body at Cherry Primary Academy.  During this academic year, I will be responsible for the Careers programme embedding and training throughout the academy leading to smooth transition into Key Stage 3 and beyond.

My background is in education as a teacher and an LA Adviser for Music and Performing Arts.  I thoroughly enjoy the wider life of the school and the community links.  I have recently joined classes visiting Magna Science Park, Whisby Education Centre and joined classes going to Pembroke Academy.

Lyndon Duarte

Having been a Governor at the Priory Pembroke Academy for over 4 years, I was delighted to be invited to co-govern at Cherry Willingham Primary School. I am looking forward to working with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and Teachers in pushing forward with the development of the school as we move forward together over the next few years. The Priory Federation of Academies Trust provides a solid framework for its schools, enabling them to grow and evolve, and to provide the ideal environment for its pupils to grow and flourish. I am very excited to now be part of the Cherry Willingham Primary School journey as well all work together and look forward to a bright future.

nicola barnes

I’m so honoured that I have been invited to continue in my role as a Governor and look forward to supporting the fantastic team, continue their amazing work, as recognised by the 2023 Ofsted report.

Our twin daughters are in their third year of attending the school and their love of learning continues to grow, thanks to the supportive, fun and safe environment that has been created here. The behaviour and attitude of all the staff and pupils is truly Outstanding and it is a joy to spend time in the school.

My working background is in sustainability, and I am more passionate than ever about making sure that children are given the opportunity to learn about the world around them and the difference their actions can make. My focus this year, will be to ensure that Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) are being well managed and ensuring that all children continue to have access to the same opportunities and learn to be their best selves.

Paul armstrong

My name is Paul and I am delighted to be offered the opportunity to be a Governor at Cherry Willingham Primary School. I am currently serving in the RAF as a Commissioned Officer and have been in the RAF for over 15 years.

Having lived in Cherry Willingham village since 2014 I know how important the future development of the school is to the community and I am excited to be part of that journey. I am looking forward to working with Mrs Curtis and the rest of the Senior Leadership Team in achieving a bright future for the school.

Mrs J Lowe

I joined the staffing team at Cherry Willingham in 2014, and both of my sons have attended the school which gave them a firm foundation in their education. I have always worked with children and families, mostly in the realm of social care. Prior to starting at Cherry Willingham Primary, I worked as a Children’s Social Worker in Grantham. I am really proud of our school and its pupils and look forward to seeing it continue to flourish, from a new perspective as a Staff Governor.
